These beautiful little hopper rats are on the larger side of the rats I usually work with. The colours have stained beautifully, with a soft gold for the cartilage and a pinky-violet for the bones. Due to the gold cartilage stain being lighter than the bone stain, you can see in the intercostal cartilage that there is some calcification present as the violet overpowers the gold in some spots.

I didn’t notice til after I had uploaded these photos, but the central specimen had a broken arm. This specimen has been removed from the batch, and all specimens available are in perfect condition.

Set up in a 65mm globe with a black resin base.
