These gorgeous little mouse skulls were carefully grown over about 3 weeks with the incredibly unique oxalato aluminate complex I’ve been messing around with over the past year. This variant was grown in various solutions containing mixtures of cobalt, chromium, and iron (or grown in different solutions to create colour layers) to create the beautiful colour variations, and as such is NOT UV stable and should be kept away from direct light. Without UV exposure though they should last forever!
The final pic shows them mounted in their glass domes (which are incredibly tricky to photograph nicely).
As there is variation across the individual pieces, each piece will be unique and randomly selected from the small batch. Some are more pale, others are more dark, and the colour will change depending on the source of light. Across this batch, some will appear mostly violet, others mostly blue, some will have tinges of green depending on the angle of viewing too.
