These gorgeous diaphonised fish are in the Tang family, but I’m not exactly sure which species. They have an incredibly thin body, and a gorgeous skeletal structure.
They are super tricky to shoot in my light box as their heads seem to catch the shadow no matter where I place them, but if you hold them to the light they are super clear.
These fish, like most I prepare, were diaphonised intact, and in the first piece you can clearly see the digestive tract with some food remains inside. This one is slightly smaller than the other one, maybe 1cm or so difference.
